Acara Hospice was started in 2022 as an effort to keep hospice care owned and operated in our community. We are local, experienced, hospice clinicians. We believe small is better than big, and individualized is better than standardized. Hospice care is best provided with small town values and hospice hearts. Hospice and palliative care should be personalized care.

About Our Owners

Dana and Stacey Rowse serve as owners and managers of Acara Hospice. Dana is a Respiratory Therapist and Stacey is a Registered Nurse. Combined they have more than 25 years working together in hospice.

We believe in hiring team members with a shared passion for end-of-life care, managing in a way that allows all team members to have a voice to create great services, and ultimately in providing hospice care that is truly A Care Above.

We believe that hospice founders like Florence Nightingale, Dame Cicely Saunders, and Florence Wald paved the way for how to care for terminally ill patients and their families and strive to continue those efforts as hospice evolves.
